Web Development
Web Development Services
Web development covers everything from a marketing site that has to load fast and rank, to a complex web application your business runs on. The technology matters less than the outcome: a site that is quick, works properly on a phone, can be found in search, converts visitors, and is straightforward for your team to update. Baxance builds on modern frameworks with performance and search visibility designed in from the first commit — not bolted on after launch, when fixing them is far more expensive.
What we build
Marketing sites and landing pages
The site your customers judge you by. Built mobile-first, fast, and structured so search engines can crawl and understand it, with a content model your team can actually edit — rather than a design that requires a developer every time a price changes.
Web applications
Dashboards, portals, booking systems, internal tools and customer-facing platforms. Where a marketing site is about presentation, an application is about state, permissions and reliability, and we build them accordingly — with proper authentication, role-based access and an architecture that won't collapse under the second year of feature requests.
Content management
A CMS your marketing team can use without breaking the layout. We favour structured content — defined fields and components rather than a free-form page builder — because it keeps the site consistent and makes future redesigns a re-skin rather than a rebuild.
Integrations
Websites rarely stand alone. We connect payments, CRM, analytics, email, chat and whatever internal systems matter, so a form submission ends up where the business actually works instead of an inbox nobody watches.
Performance is a business metric, not a technical one
Site speed is one of the few things that affects revenue, search ranking and user perception simultaneously, and it is routinely treated as an afterthought. A slow site loses visitors before they see anything — the drop-off between a page that renders in one second and one that takes four is severe, and on mobile connections the gap widens.
Google formalised this with Core Web Vitals, which measure how quickly the main content appears, how stable the layout is while loading, and how fast the page responds to interaction. These are now part of how pages are assessed. Hitting them is mostly discipline rather than cleverness: serve appropriately sized modern images, reserve space for anything that loads late so the layout doesn't jump, avoid render-blocking scripts and fonts, and ship less JavaScript. We build with these constraints from the start, because retrofitting performance into a finished site usually means rebuilding the parts that caused the problem.
Built to be found
A website that can't be crawled is an expensive brochure. The technical foundations — server-rendered content, clean URL structure, correct heading hierarchy, canonical tags, structured data, an accurate sitemap and sensible internal linking — decide whether search engines can index the site at all. These are cheap to do during the build and disruptive to add afterwards.
We treat this as part of development rather than a separate SEO project. The result is a site that arrives already indexable, so any SEO work that follows is about content and authority rather than fixing structural problems. It's the same discipline we apply to our own platforms.
Accessibility and the details that get skipped
Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast and descriptive alt text are usually framed as compliance. In practice they overlap almost entirely with good engineering: a page that a screen reader can navigate is a page a search engine can parse, and a form that works with a keyboard is a form that works when a click misses. We build to these standards because the cost during development is close to zero and the cost of adding them later is not.
Who we work with
- Businesses launching — a first site that looks credible and can grow
- Companies replacing a dated site — usually slow, unmanageable, or invisible in search
- Teams needing a web application — portals, dashboards and internal tools
- Baxance platform clients — brokers, agencies and retailers who want the site and the platform from one team
Why choose Baxance
- Performance and search visibility engineered in, not retrofitted
- Modern frameworks, built for maintainability rather than novelty
- A CMS your team can genuinely use
- Integrations to CRM, payments and analytics from day one
- The same team also runs digital marketing, so the site is built to convert traffic it will actually receive
- Code and hosting you own
Hosting, security and life after launch
A website is a running system, not a delivered file, and the decisions around it matter more than they appear. Hosting should match what the site actually is: a marketing site is best served by a platform that deploys automatically from version control and serves globally from a CDN, while an application with a database and background jobs needs infrastructure that can scale and be monitored. Choosing infrastructure that's far heavier than the site requires is a common and expensive mistake; so is hosting a business-critical application on something intended for brochures.
Security is mostly routine discipline rather than anything exotic. HTTPS everywhere, dependencies kept current, sensible headers, form and upload validation, rate limiting on anything public, and credentials kept out of the codebase. The overwhelming majority of compromised sites are running known vulnerabilities in outdated components, which makes regular updating the highest-value security work available.
Then there's the boring, essential part: automated backups that someone has actually tested restoring, uptime monitoring so you learn a site is down before a customer tells you, and error tracking so problems surface with enough detail to fix. We set these up as part of a build and can run them afterwards, or hand over documentation so your team can. Either way they should exist from day one — the time to discover your backups don't work is never.
How engagements work
We start with a free consultation covering what the site needs to achieve, who it's for and what exists today. From there we scope the build with clear deliverables, a timeline and a fixed structure — then design, build, integrate, test across devices, and launch. You get progress you can see rather than a reveal at the end.
After launch we can maintain and extend the site, or hand it over cleanly with documentation. Many clients continue with us for maintenance and ongoing feature work, because a website is a starting point that gets better with iteration rather than a project that finishes. Frequently asked questions
What does your web development service include?
Marketing sites and landing pages, web applications, content management, and integrations with CRM, payments, analytics and internal systems — built mobile-first, fast and SEO-ready.
Will the site be fast and pass Core Web Vitals?
That's the intention and we build for it from the start — optimised images, no layout shift, minimal render-blocking resources and lean JavaScript — because retrofitting performance into a finished site is far more expensive.
Can our team update the content ourselves?
Yes. We build on a structured CMS so marketing can edit content and publish without a developer, and without being able to break the layout.
Do you work with our existing website?
Often, yes. We can improve, extend or migrate an existing site rather than insisting on a rebuild — it depends on the state of the codebase, which we'll assess honestly.
Do we own the code?
Yes. You own the code and can host it wherever you choose; we can host and maintain it, but you're never locked in.
